We aim to tackle financial exhaustion affecting grandparents or relatives who are raising children due to domestic violence homicide. Most grandparents or relatives who find themselves in this predicament, raising these children, make huge financial sacrifices to provide a safe, stable and loving home for children who so often are physically and/or psychologically scarred by the rough, uncaring and sometimes dangerous years they have lived through. The goals of the campaign are to raise money for the Beginning Over Foundation’s “Kimberlee’s Children’s Fund". Kimberlee’s Children’s Fund was established in honor of the late Kimberlee Carl Godshall to alleviate the financial hardships associated when a child loses a loved one to domestic abuse homicide.Sadly, Kimberlee lost her life at the hands of her abusive husband while their child was in the next room. Children who have been witness to domestic abuse are at greater risk for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and learning and other disabilities associated with this devastating tragedy. Children are also in need of long term counseling and other needs that insurance may not cover. The Lick Domsetic Abuse Campaign will help provide funding to the families for the needs of the child(ren) that they are now caring for and to help them provide hope and a promising future them.

Children of domestic abuse homicide typically are not put into an orphanage...they are placed with "family" hence, not being orphaned. There's a gentle balance and way of dealing with these "special" children and we must all do our best to recoginize the loving families who are now raising these children. Grandparents or relatives who are now raising children due to domestic abuse homcide typically never consider their loved one to be an orphan and most would not want them refered to as such. Gently we proceed...
The Beginning Over Foundation is seeking sponsors for this important campaign. Help us help the grandparents/relatives who have stepped up and are playing valuable roles in caring for these children after domestic abuse homicide.
