AN ACT Amending Title 23 (Domestic Relations) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for award of custody, partial custody or visitation.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1. Section 5303(b.2) of Title 23 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:

§ 5303. Award of custody, partial custody or visitation.

(b.2) Parent convicted of murder.--No court shall award custody, partial custody or visitation to or allow contact or written or verbal communication, directly or indirectly, by a parent who has been convicted of murder under 18 Pa.C.S. §

2502(a) (relating to murder of the first degree) of the other parent, guardian or other custodian of the child who is the subject of the order[, unless the child is of suitable age and consents to the order].

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.

AN ACT

 

  

 

Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the

 

Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, providing for

 

registration of domestic violence predators; establishing the

 

Domestic Violence Predator Assessment Board; and imposing

 

powers and duties on the Pennsylvania State Police and on the

 

Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole.

 

It is the intention of the General Assembly that this act be

 

known as <<Robin>>'<<s>> <<Law>>.
