Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage. ~Maya Angelou~

Peaceful Places - Transitional Housing Assistance
The Beginning Over Foundation partners with local social service agencies and individual landlords to provide safe, transitional housing for individuals and families in crisis.  Through the Peaceful Places program, we aim to place a minimum of 12 families in transitional housing during 2009. Each donation of $2,000 helps us to place one more family in a peaceful place.

    Legislative Initiatives

In addition to educating the public about domestic violence, The Beginning Over Foundation is dedicated to protecting the rights of abuse victims through legislative efforts.
Current projects include Robin's Law, which would make repeat domestic  violence offenders part of a searchable, state-wide registry to protect Pennsylvania residents; and Kimberlee's Law, which would protect the children of violent offenders who are convicted of first degree murder of the other parent of a child.  Sixteen states recognize that murdering a childs parent is grounds for termination of parental rights.

    Healing Through Action Program
A program designed to help victims and survivors find healing by taking action. We have found that most victims and survivors want to make a difference, not only for themselve's but for other victims as well.
